The Full Story
Hi there! My name is Alyx. I'm 30 years old, while I may be new to Colorado Springs area, I am not new to Colorado. I was born and raised in California. I ended up moving to Denver completely on a whim in 2014. Coincidentally, I had my son here in 2015. I have been all over the states and traveled a lot in my early 20's. I had been to about 40 states by the time I was 21 and I have now lived in several states. This is the third, and hopefully final time that I moved back to Colorado. I came back at the beginning of 2023 and lived downtown Denver for a little while. It was unfortunately after my parents passed away in 2022 that brought me back to try to reconnect with the family that I have here. I have worked in private security for the past year and I am currently enrolled with CTU for my bachelor's degree in criminal justice, and set to graduate 2027.
While some of my friends and family might say that I am a Jill of all trades, I believe that is because of the work ethic I developed from closely watching my father as a child. I have worked in a wide variety of fields, and I do enjoy working in a great amount of industries. Why cleaning you may ask? Service has always been in my blood. Growing up my mother was a housekeeper, and my dad did anything and everything to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. I was concerned with pursuing an education and a career after having my son because I knew I wasn't just taking care of myself anymore. That really made me shift gears and focus on something with more purpose and a bigger picture. I somehow landed on going back to school for medical insurance billing and coding, turned out it wasn't for me, and that's okay.
Fast forward to 2019, I was working as an assistant manager at a Subway. One day the owner of a restoration company came in and was so thrilled with the cleanliness and customer service he received, that he asked me if I wanted a better job. I couldn't say yes fast enough. I went on to become a fire restoration specialist technician and I fell in love. I had never experienced a role that was more fulfilling. Fast forward again to the week after Thanksgiving in 2020 (#COVID era) and I received an extremely distraught phone call from my mother that told me my dad had cancer.
I dropped everything and packed up my house, my car, my dog, cat and yes even my fish and drove straight through to North Carolina where my parents had moved to retire on a fixed income out in the country.
Now that you're a little caught up, and maybe you know me a little better, I am someone that is hardworking, reliable, and happy to help. I have a great attention to detail and maybe have a little OCD, which is why I am a perfectionist. Mix that with a little ADHD and now you understand why I can't sit still, and I love cleaning. Family means a lot to me, and everyone needs a little help now and then. I meet everyone where they are at, I am not here to judge you. Everyone deserves a clean and organized home. Everyone deserves love, peace, and happiness. Let me give your home the sparkling clean it deserves, so you can love your home again, have some peace, and be happy.
